LESSON 2 FEATURES OF COFFEE BEANS
Introduction
To understand the countries that produce coffee, the most sensible and practical way is to classify them into the three major coffee-growing regions in the world: Africa, Indonesia, and Central and South America. Generally speaking, coffee grown nearby has similar characteristics. If a particular bean is out of stock, manufacturers will usually look for nearby countries. In this lesson, you will learn about the different types of coffee beans and how to distinguish them.
After this lesson, you will know that coffee beans have different flavors depending on the growing area. You will also know the factors affecting the taste.

Mandeling Coffee
It is the most representative coffee produced in Indonesia and Sumatra; the flavor is strong, bitter, and the taste is quite strong, but it is supple without acid and is the best quality coffee in Indonesia.
● Mantening: It is of a strong variety, with a strong aroma and bitter taste, and strong alcohol. It is a well-loved coffee, especially for those who love the single product. It is an indispensable variety when blending comprehensive coffee.
Blue Mountain Coffee
Blue Mountain coffee is produced in Jamaica, a tropical island in the Caribbean Sea. It is produced in Jamaica's Blue Mountains above 2500 feet above sea level. It has dark and fertile soil, moderate temperatures, abundant rainfall, and appropriate sunshine hours. With these conditions, Blue Mountain coffee cannot be produced, so its output is very small, and it is often in short supply.
● Blue Mountain: is a treasure in coffee. Its taste is sweet and smooth, without bitterness and it is slightly acid. It is generally the single-variety for drinking, and it is the best variety of coffee. It is produced in the high mountains of Jamaica in the West Indies Up. Because the output is very small and the price is high, most people rarely drink the real Blue Mountains. Most of the coffee is made with a similar flavor. However, the price is still higher than ordinary coffee.

Mocha:
Ethiopian coffee is all Arabica. Arabica coffee is native to Ethiopia. The climate of Ethiopia varies depending on the elevation. The forest is tropical. The climate and soil is suitable for coffee cultivation called "Abyssinian coffee". The wild coffee trees here are flourishing.
● Mocha: It has a special flavor, its unique sweetness, sourness, and bitterness are extremely elegant. It is an excellent variety favored by ordinary people. It is usually a single variety of drinks. Coffee is an ideal variety.
